CPL — Continuous Pressure Laminate

CPL melamine is a flexible decorative surface material impregnated with melamine resin, manufactured by continuous hot pressing with double steel belts.

Structure

  • Top layer: Decorative paper soaked in melamine resin (wood grain, solid colour, stone texture)
  • Core layers: Phenolic resin kraft paper / non-woven substrate
  • All layers are cured integrally under continuous high temperature and pressure.

HPL = High Pressure Laminate

Fire-resistant HPL is decorative laminate manufactured under intermittent high pressure & high temperature, made of melamine-impregnated decor paper overlay + multiple phenolic resin kraft paper core layers.

Structure

  • Top overlay: Decor paper impregnated with melamine resin (wood grain, solid colour, stone texture)
  • Core layers: Multiple kraft papers soaked in phenolic resin
  • Produced by batch hot pressing under high pressure

PET Scratch Resistant Decorative Film

PET = Polyethylene Terephthalate
PET decorative film is a thermoplastic polyester decorative overlay, widely laminated onto furniture panels, aluminium panels, wall panels via flat pressing or vacuum wrapping.

Structure

  • Single-layer or multi-layer PET polymer film
  • Hardened anti-scratch surface coating (key grade for high scratch resistance)
  • Optional primer layer for better adhesion with substrates

Heat-Pressed Melamine

(Common industry alias: Low Pressure Melamine / MFC – Melamine Faced Chipboard)

Definition

Heat-pressed melamine board is manufactured by hot-pressing melamine-resin-impregnated decorative paper directly onto substrates (particleboard, MDF, plywood) under high temperature and pressure. It is also widely called pre-laminated melamine panel in furniture trade.

Structure

  • Surface: Decor paper saturated with melamine resin (wood grain, solid colour, stone texture, synchronized emboss)
  • Base substrate: Particleboard / MDF / plywood
  • Formed in one-step batch hot pressing
